Fall Wild Acres Clean Up Postponed to Saturday, October 24th The National Chapter will now have its fall work day at Wild Acres on Saturday, October 24th. For a number of years members of the Chapter have helped at Wild Acres by cleaning up the grounds and helping to spruce up the area around the National Headquarters. We will start about 9 am and work to noon. The type of work includes weeding flower beds, pulling vines, spreading mulch, maybe splitting some more wood from the old oak tree out front etc. Lunch will be provided. If folks can bring some yard tools, rakes, spades, shovels, wheel barrows etc. that’ll help with supplies. Wear sturdy work clothes (close-toed shoes, long pants, sunscreen etc). The work goes alot faster, and there is plenty of it, when we have lots of participation. Join us for a day of fulfilling work and camaraderie - our May event was so much fun, and it's true what they say: The more the merrier! RSVP to Fitz by October 20th rfitzgerald@fs.fed.us so we can be sure we’ll have enough tools (and lunch!). Questions can be directed to Fitz at (202) 205-1753 or Paula Randler at pbrandler@fs.fed.us |
