The National Capital Society of American Foresters Phonathon

April 17 and 25, 2012 - SAF Phonathon

Phonathon is a great chance to meet other National Capital SAF members and catch up with old friends over a delicious dinner, provided by SAF HQ, then spend some time hearing how Foresters from across the country are doing.

Originally a drive to remind folks to re-up their membership in SAF, our Phonathon has been reinvented in recent years to ask folks what SAF can do for them. SAF knows it's tough for so many Foresters right now, and wants to help out. There's no hard sell and no script, just an honest conversation. Some SAF members really look forward to our annual call and you'll love hearing their stories.

Join us Tuesday April 17th and Wednesday April 25th at Wild Acres in Bethesda (5400 Grosvenor Ln, Bethesda. MD). Dinner will begin at 6 pm, we'll get a bit of instruction, and we'll make calls until about 9 pm. Closest Metro station is Grosvenor-Strathmore, about a 10-minute walk. In case of April showers there will probably be a few drivers to help everyone get to and from the metro, but the cab ride is inexpensive as well. RSVP to Paula Randler:  pbrandler@fs.fed.us, and also, please save my cell phone number in case you need to reach us on the night: 203 848 9561.”

It's a great opportunity to help our professional Society and at the same time gives us an opportunity to think through why we belong to and support SAF. It sometimes provides an opportunity to talk to old friends and colleagues, which is always a great deal of fun. We use a phone bank set up by SAF in their conference room and using low evening long distance rates, we work our way across the US by time zones.

Bring a friend. This is a great way to meet and work with your fellow NCSAF members.
