MEMORANDUM TO: SAF Phonathon Volunteers/NCSAF members RE: 2013 Phonathon needs your help This year’s Phonathon will be held on the evenings of Wednesday, April 24 th, Thursday, April 25 th, and the following Tuesday, April 30 th at the SAF National Office 5400 Grosvenor Lane Bethesda, MD 20814-2198. Please join us at 6:00 p.m., at which time a light dinner will be served and a brief orientation provided. To make these evenings even more fun, there will be prizes for the volunteers who are the most successful in their efforts! The purpose of Phonathon is to assist the national office of SAF in contacting members and former members who have failed to renew their SAF membership for 2013. It’s a great opportunity to help our professional Society and at the same time gives us an opportunity to think through why we belong to and support SAF. It sometimes provides an opportunity to talk to old friends and colleagues, which is always a great deal of fun. We use a phone bank set up by SAF in their conference room and using low evening long distance rates. We work our way across the US by time zones. We will finish the night at around 9:00p.m. We are looking for dedicated volunteers from NCSAF to help us out.
