CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FACING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE LANDS FORESTRYTuesday, August 20th On Tuesday, August 20 th, NCSAF will host a luncheon with Brent Blevins (Majority Staff) and Lisa Shelton (Minority Staff) of the House Agriculture Committee. Mr. Blevins and Ms. Shelton will provide their views on the biggest challenges and opportunities facing public and private lands forestry today. Location: Hall of the States Building , Room 233-235, 444 North Capitol Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001 (located a short walk from the Union Station Metro stop, on the red line). Prior to that he worked as a staffer in the Virginia Assembly. He is a native of southwest Virginia and is a proud alumnus of Virginia Tech. Lisa Shelton has worked for the House Agriculture Committee since 2006 where she covers forestry, farm credit and nutrition. Prior to working for the Agriculture Committee, she worked for Congressmen from Indiana and California. Lisa was raised in Los Angeles, CA, spent many years on a farm in Southern Indiana and is a graduate from Georgetown University. |
